The ECIP website is now closed, but don't worry, you can find us on NHS Improvement's improvement hub.

The improvement hub lets you search hundreds of improvement resources - you can even share your own. You can also collaborate and explore your ideas with colleagues on the discussion board.

The final day to access is Friday 24th March 2017, after this date the site will be available through the national archive.

This page has been developed to support you by sharing information on:

Additional Support

As part of the Midlands and East Red2Green campaign, Midlands and East systems can access the following additional support by submitting an enquiry to

1. Action Learning Sets
Action learning (AL) is one approach to developing individuals and organisations. It takes place in small groups, called learning sets. Learning sets work through structured conversations aimed at helping people explore real and challenging work place issues, in a confidential setting with peers, who are doing the same.

AL can be used to support leadership development, team development, organization wide change initiatives or as part of a culture change programme. AL sets typically bring people together from different parts of the organisation or system and in doing so build organisational or system-wide capacity and connection.

AL is a powerful tool for personal and professional development. Being a set member provides a safe space to stop, think and reflect before acting. With skillful facilitation, set supporters strike a balance between challenge and support and further develop core skills of active listening and impactful questioning.

Further information on a introductory session for Action Learning Sets is available here

2. Access to support from ECIP team
"The bringing together of like-minded people to develop a networked community that will share, learn, test, encourage, support and implement great urgent and emergency care practice with patients at the centre of everything"
